Background and Playing impressions:
These clubs were produced by Ram in the mid-1970's. They're a nice starter set of Stainless Steel Irons (3,5,7and 9 irons) with small cavity backs, distributing the weight for added forgiveness on mis-hits. I've always liked the old Ram Irons with the wide, heavy soles, as they seem to give me a little more confidence that I'm weilding a substantial weapon in my assualt on the golf course. I used this set in a

recent round at Cypress Head, in Port Orange, FL and they performed nicely, although maybe a little shorter than some newer irons. I enjoy playing an occasional round with a so-called starter set, as it leaves more room in my bag for added woods and wedges.
